Alan Harvey

Alan "Dale" Harvey, 69, of Pacolet, SC, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 25, 1944, in Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of the late Cleveland LJ and Beatrice Haire Harvey. A U. S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College, Mr. Harvey was the owner of Harvey & Son, Inc. Surviving is his beloved wife, Becky Johnson Harvey; four daughters, Paige Cook (Chip) of Inman, Tracy Hayes (Matt) of Spartanburg, Lindsey Harvey of Pacolet, and Courtney Nix (Jason) of Jonesville, SC; five grandchildren, Taylor Kirby, Payton Cook, Emily Cook, Bree Hayes, and Carter Nix; three brothers, Bud Harvey (Mary), Kenneth Harvey, and Paul Harvey, all of Pacolet; and one sister, Harriett Harvey of Myrtle Beach. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Joey Harvey. A private family memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372, by Mr. Chip Cook and Mr. Michael McDonald.
