Aileen Coalson

Aileen G. Coalson, 98, of Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg. Born August 20, 1913, in York, SC, she was the daughter of the late Brady Boyd and Muriel Wyatt Sprouse, and wife of the late William C. Coalson. Mrs. Coalson was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by one brother, Bobby (Mary) Sprouse of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters, Barbara (Michael) Quinn of Greenville, SC, Mary Ballard of Mayo, SC, and Willie Mae Brielmire of Indiana; two stepsons, Bill (Elenor) of Jacksonville, FL, John of Charlotte, NC; and two stepdaughters, Pam and Kay Coalson of Jacksonville, FL. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Humphries and the Rev. Brian Humphries. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307; or Oak Grove Baptist Church, 350 North Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
