Agnes Toney

Agnes Murray Toney, 77, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born July 31, 1931, in South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Johnny C. and Clevia Bolton Murray and the wife of the late Horace E. Toney. She was a member of Boiling Springs Church of God where she was a former active choir member. Survivors include a daughter, Ginger Matthews of Roebuck; a son, Johnny Toney of Spartanburg; a brother, Ronnie Bolton of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Sandra Bryant of Walterboro, and Gladys Atkins of Campobello; and two grandchildren, Jessica Guy and Travis Matthews, both of Roebuck. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Michael Coward. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.
