Agnes Curry

Agnes Parris Curry, 93, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 3, 1919, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Mason Parris. Agnes was retired from Spartanburg Technical College and taught sewing to many women in Spartanburg. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son, John Robert "Bob" Curry and wife Nancy of Spartanburg; daughter-in-law, Elaine P. Curry of Spartanburg; grandsons, Robert Curry of Mauldin, David Curry of Seattle, WA, and Roy Bell of Richmond, VA; great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Curry, Peyton Curry, and Kiera Bell. She was predeceased by her son, William Allen "Bill" Curry; her daughter, Barbara Sue Bell and son-in-law, Roy Bell. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Frank E. Lybrand. Visitation will be at the graveside.
