Adelaide Walker

Adelaide Heinitsh Kearney Walker, 98, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 16, 1916, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Christian Kearney and Margaret Octavia Heinitsh Kearney, and wife for 63 years to the late William Claude Walker. Mrs. Walker was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Echebucsassa (DAR) Chapter in Zephyr Hills, FL. Her interests included family genealogy. Among survivors are her daughters, Mary W. Haynes of Spartanburg, SC, and Margaret W. Woodward of High Springs, FL; grandson, Allen C. Woodward, II; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Woodward and Lindsey Woodward; step-great-grandson, Tyler Beebe; and great-great-grandson, Asher Woodward, all of Redding, CA. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
