Ada Blackwell

Ada Reba Baker Blackwell, 81, of Boiling Springs, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born April 12, 1928, in Lee County, VA, and raised in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Andy J. and Lillie Sizemore Baker and the wife of the late Frank M. Blackwell. She was retired from Spartan Mills after 19 years of service and attended Parkway Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Carroll and husband Barry of Inman, Linda Rollins of Union, and Cindy Harvey and husband James of Boiling Springs; a granddaughter, Tina Rollins and husband Wayne of Union; two grandsons, Pastor Todd Black who was reared in the home and wife Tina, and Jamie Nodine and wife Rita, all of Boiling Springs; four great-granddaughters, Brooke Rollins, Savannah Nodine, Hannah Black, and Brooklyn Nodine; a great-grandson, Jonathan Black; many nieces and nephews and a special nephew, John Baker; and many friends and two special friends, Mary Carroll and Judy Campbell. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Blackwell; four brothers, Foster, Bill, Otis, and Buck Baker; and four sisters, Beatrice Conner, Quinnie Baker, Irene Williams, and Georgia Kinsler. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel conducted by Pastor Mitchel Edge and the Rev. Westly Murray.
