Marjorie Seay

Marjorie Barnett Seay, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Mountain View Nursing Home. Born July 21, 1923 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Luther Micajah and Meta Blanche Lancaster Barnett. Marjorie was retired after 40 years of service as a telephone operator for Southern Bell. She was a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Paul Seay and Steven Seay; daughter, Linda Clippard; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Hope, all of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by a brother, Kermit Barnett and a sister, Kathryn Javier. Visitation will be 7:00 - 9:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Todd Lowe. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
