Joe Harvey

Oscar Joe Harvey "Joe", 77, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, January 29, 2018, at Laurels of Salisbury, NC. Born May 26, 1940, in Pacolet, SC, he was the son of the late George Thomas (G. T.) Harvey Sr. "Red" and Gladys Marie Gossett Harvey. Mr. Harvey owned variety stores and was employed with Milliken Research Center for 20 years. Surviving are his children, Steven Brian Harvey (Cherri) of Fountain Inn, SC and Kim Harvey Barron (Mike) of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Fleming, Josh Barron, and Salleigh Harvey; great-grandchildren, Jackson Fleming, Chance Barron, and Peyton Barron; and siblings, Kenneth Donald Harvey "Red", Leon Dudley Harvey "Red", both of Pacolet, SC, Edward Franklin Harvey "Red" of Buffalo, SC, Joyce Harvey Crocker of Spartanburg, SC, and Rosemary Gossett of Roanoke, VA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, George Thomas Harvey Jr. "Red". Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, February 2, 2018, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by The Rev.
